Deposit Policy

All products from Bluwood Custom Doors are custom built to the customer’s specific measurements, design, and finish selections. Because each door is made‑to‑order and cannot be resold easily, a deposit is required before any materials are ordered or production is scheduled. 

• A 25-50% deposit of the total quoted price is required to place an order and secure a spot in the production schedule. 

• The deposit is non‑refundable once Bluwood Custom Doors has ordered materials or begun production on the project. 

• The remaining balance is due at delivery. 

• Deposits and final payments may be made by approved electronic payment methods or other payment methods as specified on the invoice. Payment details will be listed clearly on each estimate and invoice. (Cash, Venmo, CashApp, PayPal, Zelle, ACH)

Refund and Cancellation Policy

Because all doors are custom made, cancellations and refunds are limited and subject to the stage of your order at the time of the request. 

• Cancellation within 24 hours of deposit payment (before materials are ordered)

      • If you cancel in writing within 24 hours and materials have not yet been ordered, Bluwood Custom Doors may, at its discretion, refund the deposit minus any administrative or processing fees associated with the payment. 

      • After materials are ordered or production has begun

               •.      Once materials have been ordered or production has started, the deposit becomes fully non‑refundable. This covers the cost of lumber, hardware, finishing materials, and time invested in design and production. 

• Customer design or measurement changes

      • Changes requested after the order is placed may affect price and lead time. Additional costs due to design, size, or finish changes must be paid in full before Bluwood Custom Doors proceeds with the revised work. 

      • Some changes may not be possible once production is underway; in such cases, the original deposit remains non‑refundable. 

      • Failure to pay remaining balance

      • If the remaining balance is not paid within the time specified on the invoice (for example, within X days of completion notice), Bluwood Custom Doors may treat the order as abandoned. 

      • In the case of abandonment, the deposit will not be refunded, and Bluwood Custom Doors may dispose of or resell the product at its discretion. 

Lead Times and Scheduling

• Estimated lead times are provided as a courtesy and may change due to material availability, shop workload, and other factors outside Bluwood’s control. These estimates are not guaranteed completion dates. 

• Delays that are outside Bluwood’s control do not entitle the customer to a refund of the non‑refundable deposit. 

Acceptance of Policy

By paying the required deposit, the customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to the Bluwood Custom Doors Deposit and Refund Policy. This policy will be included or linked on all estimates and invoices for custom orders.
